Your Ultimate Guide to NuLu Bock Fest

At Cambium Marketing, we believe the best brands are built through meaningful connections, and there’s nothing more meaningful than bringing people together through unforgettable local experiences. That’s why we’re proud to work with incredible clients who bring community events to life and help make Louisville such a vibrant place to live and visit.

One of our favorites? NuLu Bock Fest.

From quirky traditions to local brews and community spirit, NuLu Bock Fest perfectly captures what makes Louisville unique. We’re excited to share everything you need to know to experience it like a pro.

What is NuLu Bock Fest?

NuLu Bock Fest is one of Louisville’s most beloved springtime traditions, returning each year to celebrate the release of bock beer with a uniquely local twist. Hosted by the NuLu Business Association, the festival transforms the NuLu neighborhood into a lively, four-block street party filled with food, drinks, entertainment, and yes… goat races.

Taking place this year on Saturday, March 28 from 12 to 6 PM, this free event is now in its ninth year and continues to grow as one of the city’s most anticipated festivals.

Rooted in a traditional German celebration of seasonal beer, NuLu Bock Fest has evolved into something distinctly Louisville. It’s equal parts cultural festival, neighborhood block party, and delightfully weird spectacle.

What to Expect at the Festival

Goat Races (Yes, Really)

The star of the show is the Jefferson County Farm Bureau Goat Races, where goats sprint down Market Street alongside handlers from the local Sunny Acres Farm. It’s chaotic, hilarious, and completely unforgettable. Grandstands will be placed on the side of the track for better audience viewing. The featured race will be the Fifth Third Bank News Flash Dash Baby Goat Race at 3:15 where Louisville’s news anchors and meteorologists have their goats battle it out for a $500 donation to the winner’s charity of choice.

Local Bock Beer & Drinks

Local breweries will be on hand showcase their seasonal bock beers, alongside craft cocktails and other drink options. Craft cocktails and a variety of spirits will also be available for sale. You’ll be hard pressed to not find a place to grab a drink will plenty of bars set up throughout the 4-block footprint.

Live Music & Entertainment

Expect live music, local vendors, and activities for all ages, from petting zoos to interactive exhibits. Don’t forget to stop by your favorite local shops throughout NuLu, many of them will be offering Bock Fest sales, specials and unique activations.
